Wipro has secured a deal valued at over $1 billion with Olam Group, marking one of the largest transactions in the company’s recent history. As part of the agreement, Wipro will acquire Olam’s IT services arm, Mindsprint, while also entering into a long-term technology services contract with the group. The structure of the deal combines both an acquisition and a multi-year services engagement, making it more than a standard buyout.
The total deal value exceeds $1 billion, of which approximately $800 million is tied to committed spending over the duration of the contract. The engagement is expected to run for around eight years, providing Wipro with long-term revenue visibility and a stable stream of income. Such large, multi-year deals are typically seen as strategically important, as they ensure predictable cash flows and deepen client relationships.
