At the Swiggy Sustainability Summit 2025, the company announced a series of initiatives aimed at improving its environmental impact, supporting delivery partners, and fostering community development.

Swiggy laid out its vision for sustainability across 8 key focus areas. A major highlight is its pledge to shift to a 100% electric vehicle (EV) fleet by 2030, significantly cutting down carbon emissions from its delivery operations. Additionally, the company aims to help all its restaurant partners switch to responsible packaging alternatives by 2030, reducing plastic waste and promoting eco-friendly materials.

Food waste is another critical area of focus. Swiggy has committed to reducing perishable waste in its direct operations by 25% YoY through better automation and process improvements. To further address food security, the company launched Swiggy Serves, a program targeting hunger relief. It has also partnered with the Robin Hood Army to minimize food wastage at restaurants, ensuring surplus food reaches those in need.

Swiggy is also investing in people. Through its Swiggy Skills program, the company aims to train over 1 million individuals in its value chain by 2030, offering opportunities for reskilling and career growth. Additionally, it has set a goal to empower 100,000 women, including entrepreneurs, delivery partners, and employees, ensuring a more inclusive workforce.
