Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) has officially commenced commercial operations at its 85 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant located in Nagda, Madhya Pradesh. This milestone was achieved on April 24, 2025, marking a significant advancement in the country’s renewable energy sector.

The project was developed by POWERGRID’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Powergrid Energy Services Ltd (PESL). The plant is situated in the Ujjain district of Madhya Pradesh, an area known for its high solar irradiance, making it an ideal location for solar energy generation.
