Ambulance in 10 minutes by Blinkit

Blinkit has introduced a 10-minute ambulance service in Gurugram to address the need for quicker access to emergency medical care. This marks the beginning of a new initiative to improve healthcare response times in urban areas. However, navigating through congested city traffic is a challenge to ensuring a truly 10-minute response time.

In its initial phase, the company has deployed five fully equipped ambulances. Each Blinkit ambulance is to have

• Oxygen Cylinders
• Stretcher
• Monitor
• Suction Machine
• Emergency Medicines and Injections

Additionally, every ambulance is staffed with a paramedic, an assistant, and a trained driver to provide necessary care during emergencies.

The ambulances can be booked through the Blinkit app, offering a streamlined process for customers in need of urgent medical assistance. The service is currently priced at a flat charge of ₹2,000, and the company has emphasized its focus on providing a solution to a critical challenge rather than generating profit.

Albinder Dhindsa, Founder and CEO of Blinkit, stated that this initiative is the first step in addressing the challenge of delivering reliable ambulance services in cities. Blinkit plans to expand this service to all major cities in the country over the next two years.

Customers in Gurugram can use this service now, with plans to make it accessible in other regions as the rollout progresses. Dhindsa also urged the public to always prioritize giving way to ambulances on the road, emphasizing the importance of timely medical help.
